LHI Rockfest 2017
March 18, 2017 - March 25, 2017
The sixth Lord Howe Island Rockfest will kick off Saturday 18th March to Friday 25th March 2017 and is set to bring a buzzing atmosphere to the beautiful island. Locals and visitors alike eagerly anticipate the weeklong event, as it provides a showcase of free concerts and entertainment, in addition to music tuition for Lord Howe Island school students.
Rockfest was the brainchild of Big Music CEO David Berkman, whose love of Lord Howe saw him introduce the only thing he identified as missing from the island – music and nightlife.
Located off Australia’s East coast, Lord Howe Island is a pristine paradise that is less than two hours’ flight from Sydney or Brisbane. The island provides a stunning backdrop for the annual Rockfest, which is organized by Big Music Australia. The event adds a festive feel to the area through a selection of live performances, delivering high quality covers of classic hit songs to ensure an entertaining week for all.
Rockfest 2017 is expected to entice people wanting to experience great music and a lively atmosphere. The event is free and sponsored by Big Music Australia, Lord Howe Island Sea Freight, LHITA, A W Edwards, QantasLink, Pinetrees Lodge, Oceanview and Earls Anchorage.
