Walking and Photography week at Pinetrees
May 2, 2016 - May 6, 2016
Lord Howe Island is the best walking destination in Australia, and one of the best in the world. Its World Heritage listing is for scenic beauty, biodiversity and rare flora and fauna, and there’s a large variety of terrain in a small area. You can explore the intertidal zone at low tide and discover amazing life forms, you can walk along user-friendly graded tracks to swimming coves and lookouts, you can climb small hills and capture vistas that feature in David Attenborough documentaries, and you can climb big mountains.
Our Walking and Photography Weeks will combine the skills of local guides and photographers to help you discover and capture the Island’s stunning landscapes and life forms. Some walks will be self-guided, while others will have expert guides to explain the plants, geology, birds and marine life. Each guide can help you capture better images (and help you win our daily ‘best photo’ competition).
