The Broken Banyan

The Broken Banyan is a haven of peace and calm. The name is inspired by the legendary Banyan Tree seen around Lord Howe Island and in ancient cultures is the symbol of long life.

Indeed, Robinson Crusoe, that colourful island character of fiction, makes his home in a Banyan tree.

The Broken Banyan apartments are set in a beautiful spacious tropical garden at the heart of which spreads a magnificent and stately Banyan tree. How special to spend a Lord Howe Island holiday in this adults-only, peaceful and calm setting, gazing out over the hibiscus and palm trees toward towering Mt. Gower and Lidgbird.

Accommodation is in well-appointed one-bedroom self-contained garden apartments, with open-plan living room, kitchen, dining area and private veranda.

The Broken Banyan is close to shops, restaurants, and beaches and two of the islandโ€™s finest nature walks.
