You are invited to climb iconic Mt Gower and follow in the footsteps of a fifth generation Islander, Jack Shick, as indeed Jack, a veteran guide of over 1650 walks follows in the footsteps of his grandfather and father, both mountain guides before him.

Hear stories handed down through the family and learn about the unique flora and fauna found on the walk.

Jack will demonstrate the kentia seeds being collected in the traditional way and you will see all four species of palms found on the Island.
